Campiñas y Sierra Sur de Sevilla is in the inland core of Andalusia, the Southern part of Spain. The profound transformation of the natural environment due to the settlements network and agriculture has caused it to lose its value as a natural environment. The combination of historical villages, big farms with traditional crops, shrub lands and forest makes possible a high biodiversity and the perception of a quality landscape. The energy transition has introduced imbalances through the installation of wind farms which, despite being considered positive in terms of their contribution to the renewable challenge, the diversification of income for farmers and the rural economy, are distorting the traditional agricultural landscape.

Objectives and expected activities: To take part in the construction of renewable energy landscapes on cultural landscapes. TOPIO will try to make stakeholders aware of the need not to degrade pre-existing resources based on previous experiences in the area. The renewable energy challenge must be built as a common and shared project that does not neglect pre-existing economic activities.
